The paper aims at highlighting the multiple connections between categorical mathematics and diagrammatic thinking. In particular, by means of a double theoretical orientation (i.e. archeological and experimental), it develops three conceptual paths: 1) analysis of the so-called “diagramme tra(ns)ductif”; 2) analysis of a compactifcation diagram; 3) analysis of a chiasmatic structure between (1) & (2).
