Personal impressions of kurt Goldstein

Gardner Murphy

pp. 31-34

I think of Kurt Goldstein as a presence; a genial and generous paternal figure; a prophetic figure; the realization of an ideal; or, in Aristotelian guise, a form working through an unstructured medium and giving it meaning; the embodiment of a way of conceiving the individual organism, and through it the life process upon the face of the earth. One needs the whole of Kurt Goldstein's life to see the entelechy, the self-actualization, the dialectic stages in the process of achieving full meaning.
